Lapo Elkann to Be Inducted Into Automotive Hall of Fame
By LUISA ZARGANILapo Elkann, founder of the newly publicly listed Italia Independent Group, is to be inducted in the Automotive Hall of Fame and will receive the Young Leader & Excellence Award in a ceremony on July 25. Elkann has served as director of brand promotions for Fiat Group and is being recognized for his impact on the industry. Along with his two siblings, John and Ginevra, the young entrepreneur is the majority shareholder of Exor, the Fiat Group holding company. He is a descendent of Giovanni Agnelli, the founder of the automotive firm in 1899.Elkann is the only Fiat heir to receive this award after his great-grandfather Giovanni Agnelli.
