Label: Atlantic/1st and 15thBy my own admission I now see how much I over valued Lupe Fiasco’s last album Lasers. Perhaps I was caught up in the buzz of fan protests to get the album released or the fact it was his first studio record for four years. Or perhaps a self inflicted case of fanboyism clouded my judgement. But having gone back I can now see that the 8/10 score I initially gave it, was a few points too generous. So with that in mind I’ve made a point of approaching the rappers new record with more clarity and even balance than before.
