Day 3: Salutations - Limited Edition Energy

Day 3: Salutations - Limited Edition Energy

Road to A Million ! - Tiger's Tail EP - 2.20.2026 !

Feb 11, 2026

June 2019. One year into this journey.

“Salutations” was me understanding something crucial: I’m limited edition. There ain’t too many of us.

This wasn’t arrogance. This was recognition. Recognition that the path I was on - law school, music, Detroit hustle, trying to build something that lasts - wasn’t the path most people take. And the ones who do take it? Most don’t survive it.

“Limited Edition” opened the project with that energy: “Limited edition ain’t too many of us / Homage to the gods cuz they came before us.” I was paying respect while claiming my space.

“Smoke Insurance” set boundaries: “You want smoke nigga you want smoke nigga / I be damned if you treat me like a hoe nigga.” I wasn’t playing. Territory was being established.

“What They Think You Need” got introspective. This was me wrestling with expectations - from family, from church, from the community. “Things never came when I wanted it / I slept on it meditated even haunted it.” I was learning patience the hard way.

“Standard” was about raising the bar: “Staying at the standards / With a chick who got some standards.” Everything around me had to match where I was trying to go.

“Retrospect” might be the most important track on here: “I learn about life in retrospect / I glad i missed out on these hoes so I can get these checks.” Looking back, every loss was a lesson. Every setback was setup.

“Hey Happey [Intermission]” was a breath. “I can see the happiness in your eyes.” Even in the grind, there’s room for joy.

“Self Evaluation” forced me to look in the mirror: “Keep it real with yourself that’s the only thang.” No excuses. No blame. Just accountability.

“Like It Or Not” was defiance: “Made it off the block / I ain’t even have to sell a rock.” I was doing it my way, and people were going to have to accept that.

“When the Light Shines” was confidence: “When the light shines / They gonna see me.” I believed it before anyone else did.

“Patient Vibe” taught me to wait: “Time to let you know / Had to let you go.” Some people can’t go where you’re going. Let them go.

“Presence” was spiritual, dedicated to Khalil. “May I never leave ya presence.” Loss shaped me. Pain forged me.

“Unity” explored connection: “Without no you it’d be no I / So let’s unite.” Even lone wolves need community and intimacy.

“Forged By Fire” closed it out: “Real niggas been forged by fire.” Everything I went through made me fireproof.

“Salutations” was me saluting the journey - the good, the bad, the lessons, the losses.

Limited edition energy. That’s what this project represents.
